Hyderabadi Khatti Daal Recipe


Masoor Dal 250 grams 
Tomatoes 2 
Water 2 cups 
Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp 
Salt 1 tsp 
Haldi 1/2 tsp 
Ginger Garlic paste 1 tsp 
Green chillies 2-3 
Tamarind paste 1/2 cup 
Ghee/Oil 3/4 cup 
Crushed Garlic 1tsp 
Curry Patta 15-20 
Mustard Seeds ( rai dana) 1 tsp 
White Cumin ( sufaid zeera) 1 tsp 
Red Chillies Whole 6-7 
Coriander for garnishing

How to make Hyderabadi Khatti Daal:

In a Pan add all the ingredients except tamarind paste. 

Once the dal is cooked, remove from heat and let it cool. 

In a blender add half of the dal and imli paste blend till smooth then add it into the remaining daal . 

To make the bhagar, 
heat ghee/oil in a pan, add crushed garlic and curry patta, mustard seeds, white cumin and red chillies and cook till the garlic is golden brown, add over the dal as well as chopped up green.chillies 

Garnish with 2 whole green chillis and cover and garnish with coriander
