Recently, two Pakistani actresses — Sarah Khan and Hania Aamir — fell sick. The former had to undergo an MRI test and the latter put up pictures of her on Instagram in which she looked pretty unwell. News is that both are on the mend. Sarah K thanked her well-wishers for praying for her recovery, and also posted a nice little message for her hubby: “Who needs a doctor when you have a husband like Falak Shabbir.” Well, it’s a good gesture Sarah K, but are you calling your husband an apple?

Pakistani artists are perturbed by Israeli troops’ indiscriminate attack on the Palestinian people, especially the atrocious strike at Al-Ahli Hospital that took place in the third week of this month. Among others, Mahira Khan, Ushna Shah and Armeena Khan have spoken about it on social media. Ushna S’s message was poignant and resounding in particular: “Forget world cups, forget scandals, forget any distraction they throw your way. Appealing to fellow Pakistanis. Many of the Muslim powerhouses have disappointingly stepped back from this crucial issue. The responsibility, thus, falls upon us — the everyday people, the activists, the artists, the influencers, and the voices of Pakistan — to continue the fight.” Powerful and moving words!

 

 

 

 

 

BRUTAL AND BEAUTIFUL

Now that the cat is out of the bag, that is, Jada Pinkett Smith has revealed that she and Will Smith have been separated for seven years, out comes her [former?] husband’s take on the issue. The Oscar winner in an interview has been quoted to have said, “Our relationship was very long and tumultuous over the last 30 years. We call it brutiful. It was brutal and beautiful at the same time. [Our] union has been a sloppy public experiment in unconditional love.” Folks, if the public experiment was sloppy, imagine what the private experiment would be like…

 

 

 

 

 

 

SHE IS SOBER

Adele is one of the finest (and richest) singers in the world. But her life, like any other human being’s, is not devoid of problems. The girl has been an alcoholic for a pretty long stretch of her life. But thankfully, she now claims, she has not been partaking of alcohol for more than three months. However, the straight-shooter that she is, the multiple Grammy winner has confessed that being sober is… ‘boring’. Hmmm… Girl, better (safely) bored than (tipsily) sorry.

 

CHEATER SPEARS

Once upon a time, pop stars Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears went out. Then years passed by and they got married to other people, and so on and so forth. Now, Britney S has penned her memoir named The Woman In Me, which is going to hit the newsstands soon. Media reports suggest that in it she has written that, while she and Justin T were an item, she cheated on him with a choreographer named Wade Robson. Hmmm… if anyone asks Justin T what his favourite Britney S song is, surely it won’t be Hit me baby one more time.
